Here's the schedule for the week:

Monday 12/16:  PPT information on 1920s

Tuesday 12/17:  Harlem Renaissance Activity

Wednesday 12/18:  Review for Unit Test

Thursday 12/19:  Unit Test on 1920s

Friday 12/20:  DBQ Essay information (due January 2)

*DBQ on the 1920s must be 5 paragraphs with an introduction and a conclusion paragraph.  The three middle paragraphs should use the documents to answer the thesis question.  Include information from your notes and handouts to add to the essay.

12/10 - Traditionalism vs. Modernism - Read 'Fight for Americanism', Elmer Gantry clip, Rise of Intolerance

12/11 - KKK Clip, Lynchings primary sources, PPT notes on Conflict in the 20's

12/12 - Read 'Poisioned Hooch' & Al Capone, continue PPT from above

12/13 - Harlem Renaissance Introduction


Test for the 1920's Unit will be next Thursday 12/19!

This week - Prohibition & Intolerance in the 1920s

Homework Reading Assignment:

View several of the cartoons and photographs on the link below - also read over 1 of the selected readings at the bottom of the page.  The page will give you information on Prohibition.  This must be completed by Friday - on Friday you will have some questions dealing with Prohibition.
